New Delhi. In the Kashi Vishwanath-Gyanvapi mosque case, the Supreme Court issued notice to the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) and the Mosque Management Committee. The apex court has passed this order on the petition of Hindu petitioners. It has demanded ASI to inspect the ‘Vajukhana’ area of Gyanvapi Masjid. The Hindu side says that a Shivalinga was found during a videography survey on the premises of the Gyanvapi mosque. The Supreme Court has asked for a response within two weeks.
In this regard, lawyer Varun Kumar Sinha said, the Gyanvapi case figured in the list of the Supreme Court. A request was made that all trials of the Varanasi District Court be transferred to the High Court and consolidated so that all trials would be held in a single court. The Supreme Court adjourned the case until December 19. He said all the petitions related to Gyanvapi will be listed and the date for the commencement of hearing will be fixed.
Provisional applications seeking ASI investigation of the sealed area were listed for today. On May 16, 2022, we claimed that a Shivalinga had been found in the so-called ‘Vajukhana’ area. Anjuman administration rejects him and says he is a source. We had demanded an investigation from the ASI in this area and had filed a provisional petition before the Supreme Court, which was listed for today. On this, the Supreme Court today issued notice to Anjuman Arrangements and asked them to file a reply within two weeks.
