4pm News Network: A shocking news comes from the Kerala High Court. The Kerala High Court flatly refused to grant bail to the police officer accused of rape on Friday (November 22). According to the information received, the police officer is accused of raping a schoolgirl on Children’s Day two years ago. This incident took place in Thrissur district of Kerala. The accused had raped a 14-year-old girl from the Dalit community in a house.
In this case, Justice K. Babu has refused to help the officer, who was an instructor of student police cadets (SPC) at the victim’s school. In this case, the court stated that he has committed a “heinous crime” and that he “does not deserve to be released on bail.”
The High Court said, “The court cannot ignore the fundamental rights of the accused under Article 21 of the Constitution but also cannot completely close its eyes to the heinous nature of the crime committed.” the appellant (policeman) is accused of committing a heinous crime.
The accused police officer is said to have been a student police cadet (SPC) coach at the victim’s school. The victim and the accused used to talk on the phone. On November 14, 2022, the accused lured the victim to a house in Thrissur district and raped her. The accused was subsequently arrested on September 26. The accused remains in judicial custody since that time. Now the court has clearly refused to grant bail to the police officer.
