Varanasi. Friday marked the 85th birthday of Mulayam Singh Yadav, known as the son of the soil in the country’s politics. SP leaders and workers who reached Varanasi from Ballia, on Mulayam Singh’s birthday, performed darshan and worship of Baba Shri Kashi Vishwanath and performed Dugdha Abhishek on the banks of Mother Ganga. He celebrated the birthday by performing a milk abhishek to Mother Ganga along with the image of Mulayam Singh Yadav along with Vedic chants and pledged to spread the thoughts of Mulayam Singh Yadav across the country. On this occasion, SP leaders demanded Varanasi MP and country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi to hand over Bharat Ratna to Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav.

On this occasion, Samajwadi Party leader Brijesh Yadav, who came to Banaras from Ballia, said that the Varanasi MP calls himself the son of Ganga and the entire country calls Mulayam Singh Yadav the son of the soil.
