New Delhi: Everyone knows about the dispute between the Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi and Lieutenant Governor (LG) VK Saxena. There has been a rift between the AAP government and the LG from time to time over some plan or other issue, but a different scene was seen in a program on Friday. LG VK Saxena, who attended the seventh convocation of Indira Gandhi Technical University for Women, Delhi (IGDTUW), praised Chief Minister Atishi.
LG said: Atishi is a thousand times better than the previous CM
In the programme, LG Saxena praised Atishi and said that today I am happy that the Chief Minister of Delhi is a woman and I can say with full confidence that she is a thousand times better than her previous Chief Minister. The Lt. Governor made this comment while looking at Atishi who was attending the convocation ceremony. When LG was giving this statement, Chief Minister Atishi was also present on the stage. Atishi was seen sitting near the LG on stage.
LG mocked Kejriwal
LG did not directly take Arvind Kejriwal’s name but was referring to Aam Aadmi Party national coordinator and former CM Kejriwal. During the Kejriwal government, LG’s differences with the Chief Minister were not hidden from anyone and there were conflicts on many issues.
LG said this to the students
In his speech, Saxena told the students that as you move forward, there are four things that guide you in front of you. The first is your responsibility towards yourself, the second is your responsibility towards your parents and family, while the third is your responsibility towards society and nation building. LG said that the fourth responsibility is to prove that you are a woman who broke the wall of gender discrimination and remained equal to others in all fields. Chief Minister Atishi also addressed the students of the programme.
Kejriwal had resigned from the CM’s post in September.
We informed you that Arvind Kejriwal had resigned from the post of Chief Minister in September and had said that he would ask the public for a certificate of honesty in the elections. Kejriwal had proposed Atishi’s name as Chief Minister in the legislative party meeting, which was accepted unanimously.
