Liquor may become cheaper in Uttar Pradesh

A meeting of the Council of Ministers was held on Friday under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Many decisions have been made at this meeting. People of Uttar Pradesh can now get cheap liquor. The government has made a big decision regarding extra neutral alcohol. It has been removed from GST and brought under the ambit of VAT. This will reduce the cost of making liquor. Customers will be able to get cheap liquor.

The Aqua metro rail line will be expanded

The Metro rail service’s Aqua line will be extended between Noida and Greater Noida. This decision has been taken to further ease traffic from Sector 51 Metro Station to Greater Noida’s Knowledge Park-20. Apart from this, the Yogi cabinet also approved the proposal to provide seed capital for expansion of 9 urban development authorities in the state.

Government’s big decision for 80 Kanpur villages

Additionally, allocation of funds for the transmission line and substation of the 800 MW solar project in Chitrakoot was also approved. Apart from this, the cabinet also approved the proposal to add 80 villages in Kanpur Development Authority limits under the Chief Minister’s Urban Expansion Plan. This decision was taken keeping in mind the development of Kanpur city.

Guarantee Rescue Fund will be created in UP

Finance Minister Suresh Khanna said the government provides loans from various financial institutions to departments like infrastructure, cooperation and rural development. As per the guidelines of the Central Finance Commission, CAG and CAG, it was decided to create a Guarantee Redemption Fund in UP. So if any department defaults, payment can be made from the fund.

The Finance Minister said that there is provision for this fund in 19 states of the country. The Uttar Pradesh government has taken a guarantee of Rs 1,63,399.82 crore for this fund. A decision will be taken to keep Rs 8,170 crore in this fund. Further, a provision of Rs 1,634 crore will be made for this fund in the budget every year. He said no department in Uttar Pradesh is in default.

Extra neutral alcohol without GST

Finance Minister Suresh Khanna said that after the amendment of the Central Act, the Council of Ministers also took a decision to amend the GST in Uttar Pradesh. Under this, extra neutral alcohol was removed from GST and included in VAT. This will increase UP’s revenue. Until now, UP was getting 50 percent revenue from neutral extra alcohol, while after this decision it will get 100 percent profit in terms of revenue. This will not bring any change in the prices of alcoholic beverages in the state.
