Preparations for the counting of votes to be held on Saturday after the Jharkhand Assembly elections have been completed and political leaders and parties are eagerly awaiting the results. The results out tomorrow will decide whether the next government in Jharkhand will be formed by the BJP-led NDA alliance or the JMM-led alliance will return to power. The counting of mail-in votes will begin at 8 a.m. and the trends will begin to arrive at 9 a.m. This time the vote reached a record 67.74 percent, the highest since the formation of the state on November 15, 2000.

An Election Commission official said on Friday: “Preparations are in full swing for the counting of votes to be held on November 23. Extensive arrangements have been made for counting of votes at all counting centers and separate observers have been appointed for each assembly constituency. “Each table will be headed by an ARO to ensure a fair count of postal votes.”

The count will be carried out under the supervision of agents.

“The entire process will be carried out in a transparent manner under full surveillance of the media and the candidates or their agents, who are encouraged to closely follow the process,” the official said. He said the “strong room” has been reinforced with adequate security and video surveillance to ensure complete transparency in the counting process. “The counting of postal votes will begin at 8 in the morning and the trends will begin to arrive between 9 in the morning and 9.15 in the morning,” the official said.

The vote took place in two phases.

The elections in the state were held in two phases on November 13 and 20. Of the total 81 seats, voting was held in 43 constituencies in the first phase, while voting was held in 38 constituencies in the second phase. The state witnessed a tough electoral contest between Jharkhand Mukti Morcha-led ‘India’ and BJP-led NDA, in which JMM is trying to regain power, while BJP is trying to wrest power from the alliance ruler. Some exit polls predict that the BJP-led NDA will oust the JMM-led ruling alliance from power, while others predict the return of the ‘Inclusive Alliance for India’s National Development’ (India ) in Jharkhand.

All eyes will be on these seats.

All eyes will be on the key seats that will decide the electoral fate of key politicians. Chief Minister Hemant Soren contested from Barhet, his wife Kalpana from Gandey, while opposition leader Amar Kumar Bauri (BJP) contested from Chandankiyari. A total of 1,211 candidates were in the fray, including BJP’s Babulal Marandi in Dhanwar and JMM’s Ravindra Nath Mahato in Nala. Other prominent leaders included Deepika Pandey Singh of Mahagama Congress, Sita Soren (Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s sister-in-law) of Jamtara, Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU) chief Sudesh Mahato of Silli and former chief minister Champai Soren of Seraikela.

The BJP made corruption a problem

During the election campaign, the BJP attacked the JMM-led alliance for corruption and infiltration and criticized ruling party leaders, including the Chief Minister, who was out on bail. On the other hand, the ruling party tried to woo voters with promises of welfare schemes and accusing the BJP-led central government of “unleashing” the ED and CBI against rival parties. Hemant Soren also lashed out at the BJP, alleging that the opposition party spent over Rs 500 crore on a “malicious campaign” against him.

BJP targets land scam

Top BJP leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, BJP president JP Nadda and chief ministers of several states participated in mass demonstrations, attacking the JMM-led alliance for corruption and infiltration and targeting Soren. Sadha, who had to spend five months in jail for a money laundering case related to an alleged land scam. He also made Champai Soren’s removal from the Chief Minister’s post a major election issue soon after Hemant Soren was released on bail in June.
