Bishrampur Assembly Seat Result 2024 Live: Will Ramchandra Chandravanshi’s fort in Bishrampur collapse or cost the Indian alliance dearly? Vote counting will begin soon

The results of the Jharkhand Assembly elections are just a few hours or minutes away. All eyes are on which political party can make the most of 81 seats. The elections were held in two phases in the state. In the first phase, the Bishrampur seat was one of the 43 seats voted on on November 13. The electoral history of this assembly in Palamu district has oscillated between the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Congress since 2000.

Yes, something unique definitely happened here in the assembly elections of 2005. This year, apart from traditional parties like Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress, Rashtriya Janata Dal emerged victorious here. Perhaps because of this history, despite being part of the Indian alliance, Congress and RJD contested the elections head-to-head here. Sudhir Kumar Chandravanshi was the candidate from the Congress side, while Naresh Prasad Singh was the candidate from the RJD side. While Ramchandra Chandravanshi was the Bharatiya Janata Party candidate.

Electoral history: 2000 until now

Congress’s Chandrashekhar Dubey won here in the 2000 elections. This year Ramchandra Chandravanshi came second. Ramchandra was subsequently elected MLA in the 2005 assembly elections. After this, Chandrashekhar Dubey once again contested against Chandravanshi in the 2009 assembly elections. Dubey again defeated Chandravanshi. But in 2014, the equation took a new turn. Chandravanshi bid farewell to RJD and joined the BJP and later managed to win two consecutive elections.

In 2014, Ramchandra Chandravanshi defeated Congress’s Ajay Kumar Dubey on the BJP ticket, while in the 2019 assembly elections too, Chandravanshi managed to defeat the Congress. In this way, it can be said that the headquarters of Bishrampur in Palamu district has now become the stronghold of Ramchandra Chandravanshi. In this election, when Chandravanshi once again contests for the BJP and the Indian alliance is scattered in front of him, it remains to be seen whether he can save his seat or not.
