Ahead of the by-election voting for nine of the ten vacant Assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Nishad Party (Alliance) on Friday reiterated their commitment to achieving a landslide victory for the NDA in all those constituencies where voting will be held. Addressing a press conference in Lucknow, Nishad Party president and Uttar Pradesh Minister Sanjay Nishad along with Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak highlighted their commitment to defeat the opposition in all nine seats in the upcoming elections. Speaking about the alliance, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak said we will defeat the opposition in all nine seats in the state by-elections. While Party chief Nishad said that the NDA always supports the society. During the press conference, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak hailed the alliance with the Nishad Party and said it aims to win all nine assembly seats in the state. He said people of UP have understood how thugs and mafias were supported during the opposition government. Especially the Nishad community had to face injustice during that time. Furthermore, party chief Nishad also criticized the SP and BSP for not working towards reservation for the Nishad community while supporting the BJP. He said we will support the BJP to ensure victory in the by-elections. We want peace for our people and we want to guarantee the rights of the Nishad community. People in our community are angry that the SP and BSP did not demand reservation for us. We had to face injustice by staying in the OBC category. I have raised this demand and meetings will be held on this issue.
