In UP’s Noida and Greater Noida, the administration extended the holidays for offline classes in all schools. The Gautam Buddha Nagar administration has taken this decision keeping in mind the interests of the children. The administration has directed all schools to conduct online classes till November 25 and in the meantime all schools will remain closed. The order said that the ban on offline classes in all schools in Noida and Greater Noida in Gautam Buddha Nagar has been extended till November 25. We inform you that in view of the dangerous level of air quality in the area, the district administration suspended offline classes last week.

What was said in the order?

In his order issued, District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) Dharamveer Singh said that since the air quality index (AQI) reached the ‘very severe’ category in Delhi-NCR, classes outside line from pre-school to class 12. The district magistrate had given directions in this regard on November 18. According to the order, all schools in Gautam Buddha Nagar have to follow the order till November 25.

What was the AQI of Delhi?

Please note that once again the air quality in Delhi NCR remained very bad on Saturday. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), 20 monitoring centers including Alipur, Ashok Vihar, Anand Vihar, Bawana, DTU, Dwarka, Chandni Chowk, Jahangirpuri, Narela, Nehru Nagar, Mandir Marg, Patparganj, Rohini, Wazirpur, Punjabi Bagh and Mundka were recorded above 400 at the stations, which falls under the category “severe”. According to CPCB data, Delhi’s 24-hour average AQI till 4 pm on Saturday was recorded at 412.

What was the AQI of Noida and Greater Noida?

At the same time, the AQI of Noida, adjacent to Delhi, also increased by 10 points and was recorded at a level of 322. Additionally, the AQI of Greater Noida increased by 45 points to 307. Let us tell you that on Friday, the AQI of Noida had reached 312 and Greater Noida had reached 262.
