This is not a victory but a loot of votes: Chandrashekhar Azad
Chandrashekhar Azad said this is not a victory because the BJP did not win the by-elections but looted the votes. That’s why I don’t consider it a victory… I consider it a looting. The BJP may be happy with this victory, but we do not consider it a victory. This is nothing more than looting of votes through misuse of government machinery.

He said our workers worked hard in Maharashtra and UP and we came close to winning in many seats. In the future we will work even harder and achieve victory. MP Chandrashekhar Azad made this statement when he reached Manohar Wali, a village in Bijnor, to listen to the problems of the local people.
By-elections were held in 13 states.
Let us tell you that as per the results of the assembly by-elections declared on Saturday, the ruling parties remain dominant in most of the 13 states. The BJP and its allies won seats in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Rajasthan, while the Trinamool Congress won in West Bengal.
Of the 46 seats in which by-elections were held, the BJP and its allies won 26 seats, i.e. there is a gain of nine seats. While the Congress gained seven seats, that is, there was a loss of six seats.

The Trinamool Congress won six seats, the Aam Aadmi Party three and the Samajwadi Party won two seats. LDF won one seat in Kerala and BAP in Rajasthan. Apart from this, Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) candidates won two seats in Sikkim unopposed.
In the by-elections to two Lok Sabha constituencies, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi scored her first electoral victory from Kerala’s Wayanad Lok Sabha seat against Satyan Mokeri of the CPI(M)-led LDF by a margin of more than 4.1 lakh votes. But the party lost the Nanded seat in Maharashtra to the BJP.
