Network architecture is the real reason
Airtel uses NSA (non-standalone) architecture for 5G network in India and Jio uses SA architecture. In such a situation, Redmi A4 5G will not support Airtel 5G.

What is the difference between NSA and SA architecture?
Mainly two types of technologies are used to provide 5G network coverage in India. To better understand both types of networks, it is important that you understand the difference between 5G standalone (SA) and non-standalone 5G (NSA).
Standalone (SA) 5G is a dedicated network band and is designed for 5G. For this, the new 5G radio technology is used.
Non-standalone (NSA) 5G uses existing 4G LTE technology. Provides 5G network at low cost. This is an old radio system.
Both technologies can provide speeds of 1 Gbps. Many reports claim that SA 5G is better than NSA 5G.
