What’s the whole deal?
UP Varanasi Rajatalab police station chief Ajit Verma was going to a relative’s house with his family in uniform on Saturday night. Meanwhile, a speeding vehicle collided with the car. The driver of the car was seriously injured.
At that moment a crowd gathered at the scene. The mob ran and surrounded the car, pulled SO Saheb out of the car and beat him. During this time, SO kept saying that I’m AS, but people weren’t willing to listen. The angry crowd slapped, kicked and punched him fiercely.
The crowd hit the SO with everything they could get. After some time, the police arrived at the scene, however, the crowd beat the SO in front of the police. After much persuasion by the police, the people released them. Both parties have filed complaints against each other.
FIR registered on both sides
The police have not yet given any statement regarding the SO beating case. FIR has been lodged on both sides. This FIR has been lodged by SO Ajit Verma, while the second FIR has been lodged by Ayush Rai, son of injured driver Shankar Rai.
