After the BJP’s historic victory in Maharashtra, a round of meetings on government formation has begun. The three parties involved in the Grand Alliance are holding separate meetings today. Many leaders, including BJP state president Chandrashekhar Bawan Kule, have reached Devendra Fadnavis’ Sagar bungalow. In this meeting the next strategy is being discussed. Meanwhile, the Shinde faction meeting has begun at the Taj Land hotel.
In this meeting, Eknath Shinde will be elected MLA group leader. Apart from this, there is also a meeting of NCP faction Ajit Pawar today, in which he will be elected leader of the legislative party. This meeting will be held at Ajit Pawar’s house.
The BJP-led Mahayuti alliance won a landslide victory in the Maharashtra elections. The BJP has become the largest party. The Mahayuti alliance has 233 seats. In this, BJP has 132 seats, Shiv Sena of Shinde faction has 57 seats, NCP of Ajit faction has 41 seats, JSS has two seats and RSJP has one seat. This victory is historic for the BJP and its allies.
The term of the Maharashtra Assembly will end on November 26. In such a situation, according to sources, there is news that the swearing-in ceremony will take place tomorrow itself. But the problem is regarding CM’s face. It is not decided at the moment whether Eknath Shinde will get the reins or Devendra Fadnavis will be crowned CM. The three parties are holding separate meetings in this regard.
