Islamabad: Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan’s ‘Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’ (PTI) party has once again sounded the trumpet of an important movement in the country. This has created quite a stir in Pakistan. Imran Khan has given this message that he will no longer tolerate the shackles of slavery and will uproot them. Due to this, in view of the proposed rally in Islamabad, the government has taken strict security measures on Sunday.

Imran Khan has asked the public to unite to “break the shackles of slavery”. Pakistan’s government on Saturday closed roads leading to the national capital, partially suspended mobile and internet services, stopped public transport to prevent Sunday’s PTI protest in Islamabad and blocked major roads by building containers. Along with this, a large number of security forces have also been deployed. ,

The PTI tries to protest

The PTI leadership unanimously decided that the protest will take place on Sunday as planned and will not be postponed or canceled before the objective is achieved. According to Geo News, PTI leaders held a high-level meeting on Sunday at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister’s residence, in which the strategy for the protest was finalized. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur said he would arrive in Swabi at 3 pm to inspect preparations for the proposed protest and lead the party’s march towards Islamabad, according to reports.

Punjab Chief Minister Announcement

The Chief Minister has also directed party workers who wish to join the march to reach Swabi at 3 pm. The PTI is going to protest for the second time in two months. Ignoring the government’s call to postpone the protest, the party has announced that it will move to Islamabad. At the same time, authorities have warned of possible danger during this demonstration. Imran Khan’s party had announced last week a long march to Islamabad to defend its three demands. The party demands the release of the jailed Khan and other leaders, recognition of the PTI’s victory in the February 8 elections and the repeal of the 26th Constitutional Amendment. The 26th Constitutional Amendment changed the process of appointing judges and the Chief Justice.

Terrorist palace warning in Pakistan

According to Pakistani news channel ‘Express News TV’, the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) has issued a security alert warning of a possible terrorist attack during the PTI rally in Islamabad. He warned that the PTI public meeting could be targeted by terrorists. Section 144 has been in force in Islamabad since November 18, according to which people cannot gather. On the other hand, the Punjab government also imposed Section 144 across the province from November 23 to 25, under which protests, public gatherings, rallies and dharnas were banned. Despite the tight security measures and restrictions, the PTI remains steadfast in protesting their demands. (Language)
