You must have danced to many songs like ‘Na Jatta Na…’, ‘Ja Ve Ja…’, ‘Kachche Pakke Yaar…’ and you must have danced to them after hearing them out loud. Punjabi singer Parmish Verma, who sang these famous songs, came on the stage of Sahitya Aaj Tak and spoke about his story of struggle. Parmish said that to make a career his father was even willing to sell his house. Before that he was in Australia, then he came to India and composed songs.

Talking about his story of struggle, Parmish said that there are two types of people in the world, those who stop others from moving forward while there are some who help them move forward, I have seen both. You have to think about how you want to live your life. I accept life like this. You feel that the control of life is in your hands, the way you live life is in your hands, but the result is not in your hands.

The father had gone to sell the house to become a hero.

Parmish’s fight did not begin in 2007, but even earlier. Singer said: When I had a little success at first, I felt like I had accomplished a lot. But now that I have experienced a lot, I feel like I have achieved nothing. I tell my friends that when the expenses were in thousands, thousands of rupees seemed very high. But when you take experience into account, it all seems like a great achievement. Each one has some meaning, I have done a lot in my life, but that is just a trip, I had only made it through the qualifying round.

Parmish said his father was even willing to sell the house to establish his career. Singer said: Parents are like that, almost no one will deny it. A director had said that if you give two million rupees, he will consider your son as a hero. Then the father tried it and learned that it would sell for only Rs. 35 lakhs, so he said that even after selling the house, only Rs. 35 lakhs. How will the 2 crores arrive? That’s why my father has always tried to push me forward. You realize this as you grow up.

called from abroad

When Parmish achieved his first success, he first shared it with his father. Parmish said: I was in Australia and when I got the job offer, I called my dad and said, Dad, I have this job and this contract is for two years, so I’m going to settle down here. Then he told me to go back to India, that you wanted to be an actor. You come to India and try it. My father was the first person to say this. Recently, our new house was being built, so I told him that dad, our new house is under construction, now we are moving from here to Chandigarh. Then he said friend, I can’t leave this house. This was the same house in Patiala that he was willing to sell for me.

Parmish further said that the struggle of life never ends. Every person struggles in their life, but when you accept, life becomes a little easier. When I was in school I felt really bad about what I would do, then when I was in Australia I used to think about what I would do, how I would become an actor, then when I got PR I thought what kind of content I would do . So it was better than this that I was working in Australia. So as life progresses, the struggles will increase, the difficulties will remain, you will have to develop habits.

The fight began from childhood.

Parmish said his struggle had started since childhood. My father was a teacher, he took out personal loans and put me in very expensive schools so that I could get exposure and a good education. Then I realized how different I am from others. Since all the children there were rich, then I understood and realized that I have to do these things in my life. Whether emotional, intellectual or financial. The whole truth was revealed in every way.

Parmish also spoke about those who migrated from India and said that not only from Punjab but also from Gujarati and from the south, I met a lot of people outside. Now they even go from Haryana. But now it has reduced a bit because there are so many opportunities in India itself. Parmish strives to inspire people through social media. However, during the conversation, he described it as a commercial store. He said: As an artist, it’s your store, where you try to sell your products. But there is a part of Parmish on social media that has been done for commercial purposes.

Parmish also said that he has created an SDS Studio platform where content that is not recognized by record labels is promoted. Because according to them they don’t make money. We don’t sign any commercial artists here. We welcome independent artists who just need recognition. We work with those who want to create meaningful content. Because records don’t want to do that kind of work. And that is why you should not sell anyone’s house.
