The stigma of another big defeat has been imposed on the Pakistan team. Pakistan suffered a heavy defeat against Zimbabwe in the first ODI match played in Bulawayo. In the first ODI, the Zimbabwe team could only score 205 runs and despite this, the Pakistan team lost by 80 runs. The result of the match came by Duckworth-Lewis rule as the match was stopped due to rain. When Pakistan’s score was 60 runs for 6 wickets, it rained and then the match could not start.
Pakistan’s bad defeat
Batting first, Zimbabwe scored 205 runs. Batsman Engrava, who ranked No. 9 among Pakistani bowlers, played an innings of 48 runs. Sikandar Raza also earned Rs 39 crore. In response, Pakistan’s batting turned out to be a huge failure. The team’s opener Sam Ayyub could only score 11 runs. Abdullah Shafiq scored only 1 run. Kamran Ghulam could only score 17 runs. Salman Aga was out after scoring 4 runs. Hasibullah Khan failed to open the account and Irfan Khan was bowled for 7 runs. Captain Rizwan scored 19 unbeaten runs but this player played 43 balls and his strike rate was 44.19. After this it rained and the match could not start, resulting in Zimbabwe’s victory.

Pakistan team lost an ODI match to Zimbabwe after 9 years. The last time Zimbabwe defeated Pakistan was in 2015. In 2020, an ODI match between the two teams was drawn. Pakistan team has lost 4 matches in Zimbabwe. Pakistan has lost for the first time in Bulawayo.
