IPL 2025 Mega Auction: Rajasthan Royals also opened their account in the mega auction. Rajasthan, who had already entered the auction after retaining 6 players, bought their first player later. Rajasthan first bought Joffra Archer in the IPL auction. Rajasthan bought Archer at a whopping price of Rs 12.50 crore. Archer returned to the Rajasthan team after 2021. Rajasthan also bought spinner Mahish Tikshana. This roulette wheel received 4 million rupees, 40 lakh. The team sold leg-spinner Wanendu Hasaranga for Rs 5 crore, 25 lakh. Rajasthan bought Akash Madhwal for Rs 1.20 crore.

Overall, Rajasthan fully utilized the maximum budget of Rs 79 crore for its 6 retentions. After this, the franchise entered the auction with a purse of only Rs 41 million, in which it has to buy 19 players.
