- Punjab Kings bought left-arm fast bowler Arshdeep Singh and leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal for Rs 18 crore each. With this, both of them became the most expensive Indian bowlers in the history of IPL auctions.

- Punjab Kings spent a maximum of Rs 88 crore on the first day. The franchise itself bought the maximum of 10 players. Gujarat Titans and Delhi Capitals also bought 9 players each.
