Shimla: Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu today reviewed various development projects related to the district with senior Congress leaders from Mandi district in Oak Over Shimla. The Chief Minister said there will be no respite in the development of Mandi district and will ensure that the benefits of all development schemes of the state government reach the people of the district. He said the state government will ensure to provide facilities on priority basis at Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Medical College and Hospital, Ner Chowk. An MRI machine will soon be installed in this hospital, so that the patients who come here will not have to face any problem.
CM discussed development issues with senior leaders of Mandi district
Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that the state government is constructing the Rajiv Gandhi government day boarding school in each assembly constituency in a phased manner and these schools will be constructed in Mandi district. He said that to provide services to the people, the state government is considering creating separate divisions of Public Works Department, Jal Shakti Department and Electricity Board in each assembly constituency. He said the state government has created Mukhyamantri Sukh Shiksha Yojana to meet the education expenses of widows’ children and all leaders should ensure that the benefits of all such welfare schemes reach the common people in their respective constituencies.
During the meeting, leaders of all assembly constituencies presented the priorities of their respective areas to the Chief Minister and urged him to include them in the next financial year’s budget. He said that the state government is implementing plans for the welfare of each section and the leaders of Mandi district will take these plans to the people. He assured the Chief Minister that all leaders will strongly represent the state government among the people. He said that during the tenure of the previous BJP government, only the development of Siraj assembly constituency was given attention and people of all other assembly constituencies were given stepmotherly treatment.
In the meeting, MLA Chandrashekhar, former ministers Thakur Kaul Singh and Prakash Chaudhary, APMC Mandi president Sanjeev Guleria, former MLA Sohan Singh Thakur, Congress leaders Champa Thakur, Lal Singh Kaushal, Naresh Chauhan, Pawan Thakur , lawyer Jeevan Thakur, Chet Ram Thakur and Mahesh Raj were present.
