IPL 2025 Mega Auction, Rishabh Pant: The two-day mega auction of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season is taking place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. On the first day (November 24), the 10 teams bought 72 players spending a total of Rs 467.95 million. Today the auction will also be held on the second, that is, the last day (November 25).
On the second day, 132 players will be sold. To buy them, a total of Rs 173.55 million is left in the purse of the 10 teams. On the second day, great players like Faf du Plessis, Glenn Phillips, Sam Curran, Kane Williamson, Krunal Pandya, Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Deepak Chahar, Lockie Ferguson, Tim David, Will Jacques, Naveen Ul Haq, Steve Smith, Nitish Rana and Ajinkya Rahane Star will enter the auction.
On the first day, 3 players received so much money that all records in the history of IPL were broken. These three players are wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant, middle-order batsman Shreyas Iyer and all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer. Pant was bought by Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) with a bid of Rs 27 crore. In this way Pant has become the most expensive player in the history of the IPL.

Shreyas was bought by Punjab and Venkatesh by KKR.
Apart from Pant, Punjab Kings (PBKS) bought Shreyas Iyer with a bid of Rs 26.75 crore. Thus, Shreyas has now become the second most expensive player in the history of the IPL. The third issue belongs to Venkatesh Iyer. He was bought by Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan’s Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) team for Rs 23.75 crore.
Let us tell you that this star player played for the KKR team only until last season. But this time KKR did not retain Venkatesh. In such a situation, KKR had to use all its strength to buy Venkatesh in the auction.
