Winter Session of Parliament (Aaj Samaj), New Delhi: The winter session of Parliament will begin today. It will be valid until December 20. While on the one hand, the Central Government can introduce many important bills in the winter session, there is also a chance to discuss the most important bills. On the other hand, the opposition is preparing to corner the government on many issues, so there is a possibility that the Parliament session will be stormy.
It is said that among the bills that the government is going to present in this session, three bills related to the shipping sector are included. The government will introduce a Coastal Shipping Bill, an Indian Ports Bill and a Merchant Shipping Bill. All three bills are very important for the development of Indian shipping. At the same time, 13 bills already presented were pending approval. Among them, the Banking Law Amendment Bill and the Waqf Bill are also included in the list.
Banking Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2024 to be introduced
The government will introduce the Banking Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2024. In this bill, the number of successors in a bank account will be increased to 4, i.e. now the account holder will be able to appoint four persons in your account. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will introduce the Banking Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2024.

12 bills introduced in monsoon session
The government had introduced 12 bills in the first monsoon session of the 18th Lok Sabha. Of these, four bills were also passed. These include the Finance Bill, 2024, the Appropriation Bill, 2024, the Jammu and Kashmir Appropriation Bill, 2024 and the Indian Aircraft Bill.
