DUSU Election Result 2024: The counting for the Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) elections is today. The counting of votes will begin at 8 am on the North Campus.
There is a direct competition between the student organizations ABVP and NSUI. Both student organizations compete for the four positions of president, vice president, general secretary and deputy secretary.
The DUSU elections were held on September 27. But until now the counting of votes could not be carried out due to a judicial prohibition.
We told you that the university’s student union elections were held on September 27 and the results were originally due to be announced the next day. This year, 51,379 students voted among 1.45 lakh eligible voters, the lowest turnout in at least 10 years. But the Delhi High Court came down hard on the filth spread by candidates’ posters, hoardings and banners put up during the elections.
The court had ordered that the DUSU election results should not be published until the campus is completely clean. Following this, the candidates carried out a cleanliness drive in the colleges and campus of Delhi University. Despite this, in some places the cleaning work has not been completed.
