Ludhiana Crime News (Aaj Samaj), Ludhiana: A businessman running a shop in Jagraon grain market of the district turned a female employee working in his shop into a victim of lust. Not only this, the accused threatened the woman that if she told anyone about this, he would kill her. The victim returned home and informed his family about the exploitation. After which the family members arrived with the victim at the police station. According to the victim’s statement, the police registered the case, arrested the accused and started taking further action.

In the complaint filed with the police, the victim girl said that she works in preparing tea and food at the shop of Khudai Chakka Surindra Singh alias Mahindra in Jagraon grain market. Last day, when she went home after finishing her work in the afternoon, after a while the accused called her and asked her to meet. When the victim asked the accused if she wanted to return to the shop, the accused called her to a restaurant located on Moga Road. The victim went to the dhaba with the accused. Surindra Singh had already rented a room in the dhaba.

The victim alleged that the accused took her inside the room. The accused raped the woman in the restaurant room. The victim alleged that the accused officer also threatened her. After leaving there, he returned home and informed his aunt’s daughter about the incident. Following this, a complaint was lodged against constable Surindra Singh at the bus stand police post. SHO City Amritpal Singh said that in the statements given to the police, the employee alleged that she left her maternal family and lives in her aunt’s house in Jagraon for the last three years. He said that a case has been opened against the accused and he has been arrested.
