Central government cornered in all-party meeting over lack of DPA and non-implementation of MSP
Delhi News (Aaj Samaj), New Delhi: SAD MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal has once again cornered the central government by raising the issue related to farmers. This time the SAD MP addressed the farmers’ issue at the all-party meeting held on Sunday before the start of the winter session of Parliament. The SAD MP stated that the central government cannot turn its back on farmers’ issues. He said farmers who feed the entire country are fighting for their future by sleeping on the streets hungry, but the central government does not pay attention to this. The parliamentarian demanded that all demands of the farmers, including the SSP, be met so that their standard of living can improve.
DAP not available at the time of crop sowing
The SAD MP said the Central government should ensure availability of all essential fertilizers, including DAP, to all states as per their demand. It happens more and more that farmers cannot get the necessary fertilizers at the time of sowing, due to which they have to face problems. Harsimrat Kaur said that it is the responsibility of the Central Government to provide this fertilizer to all states on time.

SAD had broken the alliance only over farmers’ issues.
It may be noted that the alliance between SAD and BJP was decades old, but due to the farmers’ movement, SAD broke the alliance with BJP and Harsimrat Kaur resigned from the post of Union Minister. After this, in all elections held in Punjab, both parties suffered losses.
