The Maharashtra Assembly elections were completed following which the election results were also announced on Saturday. According to the election results, the Mahayuti alliance won a large majority. Now preparations to form government in the state have also been intensified. However, there is speculation that current Deputy Chief Minister and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis could take the reins of Maharashtra after the BJP made a significant showing as the largest party by winning over 132 seats in the polls. UP CM Yogi Adityanath has also played an important role in this victory.
BJP sent 40 star activists
Meanwhile, the joint political campaign of Mahayuti leaders and workers has also become a topic of discussion. The Bharatiya Janata Party had also released a list of 40 star activists for the assembly elections in Maharashtra. In this list, the BJP had had many important faces including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President Jagat Prakash Nadda, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh as its star activists. If there is anyone in discussion among these 40 names, it is UP CM Yogi Adityanath.
CM Yogi’s magic worked
According to the results analyzed by experts, Yogi Adityanath campaigned for 18 BJP candidates, 17 of whom won. The BJP’s lone candidate Vijay Aggarwal faced defeat from the Akola West assembly seat. Vijay Aggarwal was defeated by Congress’s Sajid Khan by a margin of just a thousand votes. Thus, UP CM Yogi Adityanath got a 95% strike rate for campaigning for BJP candidates.
95 percent strike rate
Additionally, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also campaigned for five candidates from the Mahayuti alliance partners, taking the total number of Mahayuti candidates supported by him to 23, of which 20 won. Of these 20 candidates, 17 are BJP candidates. The three unelected candidates include two from Shiv Sena and one from BJP. Overall, Yogi Adityanath’s strike rate for Mahayuti candidates is 87%, while his strike rate for the BJP alone is 95%.
posters in maharashtra
Posters have also been put up in Maharashtra about CM Yogi’s strike rate. At the top of this poster is written the slogan ‘If you are divided, you will be divided and if you are, you are safe’, which was talked about during the elections. After this it is written “4 days, 11 public meetings, campaign of 18 candidates, victory of 17 candidates” and “Strike percentage – 95%”. This poster has been put up by a worker named Vishwabandhu Rai in Maharashtra, claiming that CM Yogi’s strike rate is 95 percent. (with contributions from the agency)
