Lucknow. A major road accident has occurred in Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh. A Bolero and a minibus loaded with wedding processions collided at Mallawan Kotwali area on Bilhaur Katra state highway. Five people died in the incident, including four women who were traveling in the Bolero. Five people traveling in the Bolero were also injured.
The wedding of Digvijay, a resident of Seudhai village in Madhauganj police station area, took place on Sunday. The wedding procession had proceeded to Shivrajpur in Kanpur. Around 3 a.m. on Monday, all these people were returning to the town of Bolero. Bolero collided with a minibus coming from the opposite direction near Gauri intersection on the Bilhaur Katra state highway.
Seema Devi, Pratibha Devi, Pratibha, Ramlali and Shubham were killed, while Vimla, Keshav, Shaurya, Ajay and Ram Harsh were injured in the incident. The injured have been admitted to the Community Health Center. On receiving information about the incident, East Additional Superintendent of Police Nripendra reached the spot. The bodies have been sent for autopsy.
