Opposition furious over Sambhaal violence

Violence broke out on November 24 over the poll held at Shahi Masjid in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh. The violence became so intense that 5 people were killed and more than 30 were injured. The injured also included SDM and police officers. Actually, the Hindu side says about the Shahi Mosque that there was a Harihar temple here. A survey was being carried out in this regard, after which violence occurred.

Owaisi demanded strict measures
AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi demanded a debate in the House on the Sambhaal violence. Owaisi has notified the suspension of work. Regarding the violence, Owaisi said, the violence has aggravated the situation, in which 4 people have died. He said there is a need to understand the reason behind this violence and strict action must be taken against the culprits. How violence broke out in Sambhal
Date November 24, 2024 when the survey was conducted at Sambhal Royal Mosque. The Hindu community claims that the mosque was a Harihar temple, following which a survey was carried out at the mosque in the morning. The survey continued smoothly for two hours after which a crowd of people gathered in front of the mosque and then the peaceful atmosphere turned into violence.
After this, the situation became so bad that a huge uproar broke out. The miscreants set vehicles on fire, threw stones at the police and shots were also fired. The police also resorted to lathicharge and lobbed tear gas grenades to control the situation. 5 people died in this violence. For security reasons, internet services have been cut off in the area. Schools have been closed. The police are deployed. In addition, the administration has prohibited the entry of outsiders, social organizations and public representatives to the area until December 1.
