Imran Khan supporters protest in Pakistan: Imran Khan’s supporters in Pakistan have increased tension in Shahbaz Sharif’s government. ‘Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’ (PTI) activists have started a huge movement demanding Khan’s release from jail. PTI workers from all over the country are marching towards Islamabad so the situation is getting out of control. News of violence also comes from many places. Following Imran Khan’s orders, they are heading towards the capital to carry out their ‘life and death’ protest against the current government starting Sunday.
Great challenge against Shahbaz Sharif
The march of Imran Khan’s supporters towards the capital Islamabad has become a thorn in Shehbaz Sharif’s side. This can be said because the situation in the country is already bad, inflation is at its peak, ordinary people are worried, the country is breathing thanks to the IMF loan, there are deaths in disputes between Shiites and Sunnis, terrorist attacks are taking place . Citizens of China are in the spotlight… Imran Khan’s supporters have now become a big challenge for Shehbaz Sharif who is surrounded by these difficulties.
March from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Islamabad
The protesters, led by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi, began marching towards Islamabad on Sunday. Khan’s supporters also face many obstacles along the way. Roads have been blocked by placing shipping containers. Protesters are equipped with equipment and other heavy machines to remove these containers. Addressing the crowd, Ali Amin said: “We must move forward and not take a step back until Imran Khan is released.” PTI leaders also allege that 490 workers and leaders have been arrested across Punjab, while more than 100 are missing.
Politics began
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, in a statement, raised doubts over the PTI’s repeated protests and termed them a conspiracy against the country. He said the party always seems to protest when global personalities visit Pakistan, be it the Chinese Prime Minister’s visit, the SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization) summit or other occasions.
This is how Imran increased the tension in Sharif’s government
Jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan, 72, had announced nationwide protests on November 24. He made this announcement on November 13. Khan condemned the theft of mandate, unjust arrest of people and the passage of the 26th amendment to the Constitution. Regarding the 26th amendment to the Constitution, he stated that it strengthens the “dictatorial regime.” If we look closely, the PTI has four demands.
PTI Lawsuit
loss worth billions of rupees
Pakistan’s Finance Ministry has also started calculating profits and losses. According to the Ministry of Finance of Pakistan, due to this demonstration by Imran Khan’s party, an economic loss of Rs 190 billion is estimated, that is, Rs 19 billion every day. If this protest continues even for 10 days, Pakistan’s situation may go from bad to worse. According to Pakistani media, the PTI party protests have caused a loss of more than Rs 2.7 billion to the public exchequer in the last 18 months. This also includes the cost of destroying public and private property.
Security increases in Islamabad
In view of the rally by Imran’s supporters, the government has called in paramilitary Rangers and Frontier Corps (FC) personnel to help the police maintain order in the capital Islamabad. Taking additional safety measures, the administration evacuated all shelters. The Punjab government also imposed Section 144 across the province from November 23 to 25, under which protests, public gatherings, rallies and dharnas were banned. Similarly, Section 144 has been in force in Islamabad since November 18.
