When MPs failed to reach an agreement even after repeated attempts to pacify them, debates first in the Rajya Sabha and then in the Lok Sabha were adjourned until Wednesday. During this period the opposition stir continued. A debate was demanded in both houses on the allegations against Adani in the US and the violence in Sambhal, UP. During this, the opposition parliamentarians created a ruckus.
This bill is likely to be introduced in the current session.
The bills that the government is going to introduce in this session include three bills related to the shipping sector. The government will introduce a Coastal Shipping Bill, an Indian Ports Bill and a Merchant Shipping Bill. All three bills are very important for the development of Indian shipping. At the same time, 13 bills already presented were pending approval. Among them, the Banking Law Amendment Bill and the Waqf Bill are also included in the list.
Banking Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2024 to be introduced
The government will introduce the Banking Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2024. In this bill, the number of successors in a bank account will be increased to 4, i.e. now the account holder will be able to appoint four persons in your account. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will introduce the Banking Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2024.

12 bills introduced in monsoon session
The government had introduced 12 bills in the first monsoon session of the 18th Lok Sabha. Of these, four bills were also passed. These include the Finance Bill, 2024, the Appropriation Bill, 2024, the Jammu and Kashmir Appropriation Bill, 2024 and the Indian Aircraft Bill.
