India and China have started disengagement of troops from Demchok and Depsang on the LAC in eastern Ladakh. The soldiers of both countries will completely withdraw from here on October 28 and 29. Soldiers from both sides will return to their positions by April 2020. They will patrol the areas where they were patrolled until April 2020. The new agreements will be applicable only for Depsang and Demchok and not for other places.
Military sources say that Indian and Chinese troops will completely withdraw from Demchok and Depsang on October 28-29. After the withdrawal, there will be meetings of ground commanders. To ensure that there are no misunderstandings during patrolling, both parties will be informed when we are going to patrol.
