Pollution has once again increased in Noida, due to which the administration has taken many important decisions. Gautam Buddha Nagar District Magistrate (DM) Manish Verma ordered closure of all schools in Noida and Greater Noida till November 26. During this period, studies will continue through online classes.
The pollution level in the district is above the danger level. According to this decision, all types of classes will remain closed and only online studies will be carried out. Students and parents have been advised to stay in touch with school authorities for the latest updates. The official notice reads, “Due to the continued deterioration of air quality in the region, online classes for all students from Pre-Nursery to Class 12 have been extended till Tuesday, November 26, 2024.”

Schools in Delhi, Gurugram and Faridabad were also closed.
Apart from Noida, schools in Delhi are also closed due to air pollution. Earlier, the Delhi government had allowed physical classes for students of classes 10th and 12th in view of the upcoming board exams. However, following the Supreme Court’s ruling, the decision was overturned and all physical classes were suspended. Schools in both urban and rural areas up to class 12 have been closed in Gurugram and Faridabad due to high levels of pollution in the districts.
Supreme Court decision
We tell you that today the Supreme Court itself has refused to relax the restrictions imposed due to pollution in Delhi. The Supreme Court on Monday refused to relax the rules of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP)-IV implemented in Delhi. However, the Court ordered the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) to consider that a large number of students, who cannot go to school, cannot avail midday lunch, cannot attend classes online. What can be done for those who can access air purifiers?
