In a horrific road accident that took place on Monday morning around 7:30 am on Prayagraj Highway near Khajurhat in Kotwali area, a young driver was tragically killed and four people including a woman and three children were killed. , were injured. The passengers of the car were heading from Prayagraj to Gorakhpur. As soon as they reached Khajurhat, the car lost control and collided with an improperly parked truck on the side of the road. After the accident, there was a huge commotion at the scene and the car exploded into pieces.
In the accident, the driver Abhishek Tripathi, 45, a resident of Saraswatipuram police station, Shahpur district, Gorakhpur, died on the spot. And his wife Soni Tripathi, 42, and his two daughters, Sanhvi, 7, Shrimika, 3 months, and Nishi Pandey, 15, daughter of Rajeev Pandey, who were sitting in the car, were injured. After much effort by the Kotwali police who reached the spot, they removed the deceased and all the injured from the car. And they took him to the Bikapur Community Health Centre. After investigation, the doctor present at the emergency, Anurag Gupta, declared Abhishek Tripathi dead. And Abhishek’s wife Soni was referred to the district hospital. After receiving the information from Kotwali police, there was chaos among the family members who reached the hospital. The police have stopped the truck that caused the accident. Inspector-in-charge Lalchand Saroj said the body of the deceased has been sent for post-mortem. Local people said that due to road encroachment along the Ayodhya Prayagraj Highway in and around Khajurhat intersection, road accidents continue to occur every day. The police have been accused of being lethargic in causing the accidents. In which people even have to lose their lives. South of the Khajurhat crossing, dozens of truck drivers fill their trucks with Morang, park them here and sell. There is always a chance of an accident occurring due to overloaded trucks parked here and there.
