Prayagraj: UP Tourism is trying to provide maximum facilities to the devotees and tourists during Mahakumbh. In this sequence, the Tourism Department is also providing floating restaurant facilities to the tourists coming to Prayagraj for Mahakumbh. CM Yogi inaugurated UP’s first floating restaurant “Kalindi” built on the Yamuna River in Prayagraj in December 2023. UPSTDC runs this restaurant under the leadership of CM. This facility will provide a new and unique experience to tourists coming from India and abroad during Mahakumbh.

Kalindi is UP’s first floating restaurant

Uttar Pradesh’s first floating restaurant will be open from December 2023 at Triveni Boat Club in Prayagraj on behalf of UP Tourism’s UPSTDC. Tourism officer Aparajita Singh said the Kalindi floating restaurant floating on the waves of the Yamuna river is the first floating restaurant in UP. Under the guidance of CM Yogi, a similar experiment was also conducted in Ramgarh Tal of Gorakhpur. The Kalindi restaurant was the first successful experiment in this field in the state. People of Prayagraj have been enjoying this floating restaurant for the past few months. As per the intention of CM Yogi, UP Tourism will also provide this experience to Mahakumbh tourists this time. Along with the sacred bath and spiritual experience of Maha Kumbh, the floating restaurant will also be the center of attraction for tourists. The floating restaurant will prove to be a new experience for tourists coming from India and abroad.

UPSTDC operates Kalindi floating restaurant

Kalindi Floating Restaurant is located at UP Tourism’s Triveni Boat Club located on Yamuna Bank Road, Prayagraj. The restaurant is operated by UPSTDC, a corporation of the Department of Tourism. The restaurant’s front office manager Deepak Tandon said Kalindi is an air-conditioned restaurant with a capacity of 40 people. The restaurant is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. During Maha Kumbh the idea of ​​changing the restaurant hours and opening it in the morning is also in force. Along with this, UPSTDC also operates Hotel Rahi Triveni Darshan on Yamuna Bank Road. Where there are also accommodation facilities for the devotees who come to the Sangam bath.
