New Hero electric bike: Hero MotoCorp, India’s largest motorcycle company, is gearing up to launch its first electric bike. Hero petrol bikes are very popular in the country. Seeing the growing popularity of electric two-wheelers, Hero also does not want to be left behind in the e-bike race. Hero already sells Vida electric scooters, but efforts are now underway to test electric bikes as well.
Hero MotoCorp has a partnership with Zero Motorcycles, an American premium electric bike company. Both companies are jointly manufacturing a new electric motorcycle. In March 2023, both brands signed an agreement to manufacture a new premium electric bicycle.
Competition will increase with the arrival of Hero

According to data from the vehicle portal, the company has sold 6,948 units of electric bicycles in the 10 months of 2024. This company sells three electric bicycles: RV400, RV400 BRZ and RV1. After the launch of Hero’s electric bike, new competitors will come in this segment.

When will Hero’s first electric bike arrive?
Talking about the partnership between Hero and Zero, motorcycle design experience, battery pack, technology, etc. from Zero will be useful to manufacture the new electric bicycle. At the same time, Hero’s expertise in large-scale manufacturing and marketing will help achieve this and increase sales.
At the moment, it is unclear when Hero’s first electric bike will be launched. It is believed that this bike may be launched on the market in 2026. Hero and Zero have not officially revealed details such as the battery, range and design of the upcoming electric bike.
