Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav visited the British Parliament on Monday during his visit to Britain. During this, he offered floral tributes to the statue of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi installed in the Parliament complex. On this occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, recalling the contribution of Mahatma Gandhi, said that his non-violence and guidance of truth brought independence to the country. He prayed that Madhya Pradesh moves towards sustainable development following the ideals of Gandhiji.
Chief Minister Dr Yadav was invited to the British Parliament by Baroness Verma, Chairperson of the All Party Parliamentary Group on India (Trade and Investment), where she was warmly received. He visited the historic House of Lords and the House of Commons in Westminster. During this, he discussed in detail the trade and investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh with British parliamentarians. During the same, the CM also highlighted the development projects of the state, industrial progress and the favorable environment created for investors.

While talking to the media, Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh has immense potential in many fields including industrialization, tourism, education and health. He said that for the development of the state it is necessary to invite investors from the country and the world. Referring to the recently organized Regional Industry Conclave in the state, the Chief Minister said that these programs have received positive response from investors.
Efforts regarding the World Investor Summit
The Chief Minister said that his government is making large-scale preparations for the Global Investor Summit to be held in Bhopal in February 2025. Under this, direct communication is being established with investors from countries like the United Kingdom and Germany. He said the government will provide a better platform to attract investments in new technologies and different sectors.
Determine to advance Gandhiji’s ideals
Paying floral tributes to Gandhiji at the British Parliament complex, the Chief Minister said that Gandhiji brought independence by subduing the British government with the weapon of non-violence. By absorbing this message, Madhya Pradesh is moving forward in the field of development and investment. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, continuous efforts are being made to make Madhya Pradesh a global investment hub.
Chief Minister Dr Yadav said that through this visit he is strengthening global relations for the development of the state. He indicated that in addition to the United Kingdom and Germany, his government will send delegations to increase investment in other countries as well. This visit is considered an important step towards strengthening the international presence of the State and strengthening commercial relations with investors.
