A happy news has come from the Kuno National Park located in Sheopur, Madhya Pradesh. Here the female cheetah Nirva gave birth to four cubs on November 22. Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav shared this news on his social media platform X, although he did not clarify the number of cubs. There were already 24 leopards present in Kuno National Park, of which 12 were adults and 12 were cubs. Now, after the birth of four Nirva cubs, the total number of leopards in Kuno has increased to 28.
In this regard, DFO of Kuno National Park R. Tirukural said that the birth of the cubs has been confirmed, but information on how many cubs have been born is still unclear. An official statement is expected from the Kuno Park management.

Let us tell you that Kuno National Park officials had earlier reported that the female cheetah Nirva is pregnant and the possibility of her cubs being born was raised around Diwali. On November 22, Nirva fulfilled this hope by giving birth to four cubs. The number of leopards increased to 28
A female cheetah named Nirva was brought to Kano National Park from South Africa in 2022. She was released into open forest for the first time in May 2023. Nirva was kept in the same enclosure as other leopards. After the birth of the Nirva cubs, the country’s cheetah project is considered a great success.
