Dodra Kwar area to be connected with Uttarakhand, road construction work started

Shimla. Public Works and Urban Development Minister Vikramaditya Singh arrived in Dodra Kwar area on Monday. At the consecration program of the Kwar Jakh deity by the temple committee in Kwar, he was honored with a shawl, cap, silver crown and bracelet.

Addressing the public meeting organized during this period, the Public Works Minister said that he has a very old relationship with this area. Former Chief Minister late Virbhadra Singh had initiated the development of this area. It was he who first launched the road infrastructure in the area. I have always received blessings and support from the people here.

He said former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh had advised abandoning party politics and developing a uniform state. Following in his footsteps, he also works without discrimination in the state. He said that the asphalting of the road in this area will be completed by October 2025. He has directed the Public Works Department to expedite the work. He said instructions have been given to make an estimate of the road connecting Chhiwod Kainchi with Uttarakhand.

Vikramaditya Singh said that the construction work of Kawar Government Higher Secondary School will be completed by March 2025. Along with this, a report has been sought from the department regarding the delay in the under-construction rest house from the Department of Public Works and Instructions were given to complete this work within the next year and make it available to the public.

He said there is no shortage of funds with the state government for development works. Recently, Chief Minister of State Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has given gifts worth millions of rupees to this area. All demands in this area will be worked on as a priority. He announced that he will donate Rs 51,000 to the MLA fund temple committee.

appeal to stay away from drugs

Vikramaditya Singh said that synthetic drugs are spreading widely in this area. The young generation should stay away from drugs. He called on the entire population of the area to keep their children away from these medications. He also praised the special anti-drug campaign of Shimla police. He said unless public support is received, it is a challenge for the government and administration to eradicate drug addiction.

The road will soon reach Pandar village.

The Public Works Minister said there are no roads to reach Pandar village. Keeping in mind the demand of the people here, the work will be started in the next few months after completing all the road construction formalities. He said that next time he comes to this area, he will stay only in Pandar village. By then the road would have reached the town.

Chanshal will be developed as an eco-tourism site.

Vikramaditya Singh said that Chanshal area is very important from tourism point of view. Our government’s priority is to develop this area as a tourist site so that employment opportunities for the people of this area can be developed at their doorstep. He said that when an ecotourism site is built, there will be balanced development here. The natural resources here should not be exploited incorrectly. Efforts will also be made to keep this area open throughout the year.

Local MP Mohan Lal Brakta, addressing the public meeting, said that the people of this area have always been fond of him. The Congress government has always cooperated to meet the demands here.

Our priority is to give OBC status to the people of the area.

Public Works and Urban Development Minister Vikramaditya Singh, who visited the Kwar area, said that our priority is to grant OBC status to the people of this area. He said he will present this demand prominently to the Chief Minister. Even if this demand has to be presented to the Central Government, it will still go to the Central Government to present the voice of the region. He said people here are isolated from other parts of the state for many months. The geographical situation here is still quite complicated. In such a situation, our government’s priority is to provide special facilities to the people here.

The Minister of Public Works received a warm welcome from the residents of Dodra town. Here the head was offered in the temple of the deity Jakh Dodra. Addressing the public meeting organized here, the minister said that the inn is proposed to be built for the temple. The budget for this will be provided soon. Instructions were given to make a budget for the ambulance route in the town. He said our government is making efforts to provide better facilities in villages. Indira Gandhi Pyari Brahmin Sukh Samman Nidhi is provided to the women of the state with Rs 1,500 per month. The state government has granted the status of Children of the State to four thousand children. He said the state government is working to make Himachal self-reliant by 2027.

Residents of Chirgaon, Samoli, Sundha, Annapurna, Gumma, Tikkari, Shiladesh, Larot Dodra, Pujarli, Chhidov, Donda and Dhandarwadi villages extended a grand welcome to the Cabinet Minister at various places. Apart from this, members of 18 Mahila Mandals in Kwar also welcomed the Public Works Minister.

During Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh’s visit, people remembered former Chief Minister late Virbhadra Singh. The people of the area remembered him and said that the road facilities in this area are thanks to him. Basic facilities began to be provided here for the first time during his tenure.
