Haryana govt bought new helicopter worth Rs 80 crore, CM said – State’s development to gain momentum – Haryana Sarkar CM Nayab Singh Saini buys new helicopter worth Rs 80 crore, minister Vipul Goel says the previous one was 15 years old lclr

The Haryana government has purchased a new helicopter worth Rs 80 crore in place of the 15-year-old helicopter. Before using the new Airbus H145-D3, a “puja ceremony” was organized on Monday. CM Nayab Saini, Minister Vipul Goyal and other ministers were also present on this occasion.

Civil Aviation and Urban Local Bodies Minister Vipul Goyal on Monday said the state civil aviation department had long ago recommended the purchase of a new helicopter. He said the helicopter used by the government is very old.

According to the news agency, Goyal said, “The Civil Aviation Department had recommended a year ago that the old helicopter be replaced. We had ordered a new helicopter and now we have taken delivery of this helicopter.” Although the cost of the new helicopter is said to be Rs 80 crore, Goyal said the purchase cost will be calculated after the sale of the old helicopter. He further said, “But a new helicopter was needed because the existing helicopter was 15 years old.”

CM said: Development of state will gain momentum

While sharing the bidding photo of the new helicopter, Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini wrote that the uninterrupted government of the state will boost the development of Haryana with the new helicopter.

The helicopter was purchased for 33 million rupees in 2009.

The Haryana government is currently using a twin-engine helicopter, which was procured at a cost of around Rs 33 crore in 2009 during the previous Congress government. About six years ago, the BJP government acquired a fixed-wing aircraft – the Beechcraft King Air 250.
