Hospice. In the coming years, Dehra will be one of the most developed assembly constituencies in the state. Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu is personally supervising the development projects related to Dehra and taking briefings from officials from time to time. MLA Kamlesh Thakur said this while interacting with local people in Dehra’s Gram Panchayat Bankhandi and Kallar constituency on Monday. He said that in the Dehra Assembly by-election, people of the area had expressed confidence in the Sukhu state government by electing him as MLA.
He said that barely six months after the by-elections, development works worth around Rs 300 crore are being carried out in Dehra. He said showing its commitment to the development of the area, the government has started working on big projects here in record time. Major projects related to roads, water, electricity, health, education and tourism development are being implemented in Dehra. He said that apart from big projects, the government also pays full attention to people’s needs related to daily life.
During his visit to the area, upon the demand of public representatives for the construction of APS in Bankhandi, he spoke of providing funds for it. He said that a 33 KV substation has been established at Haripur whose connection will be given to Bankhandi and then there will be no electricity related problems in the Panchayat. He directed the Jal Shakti Department to provide water connection to the cremation ground of Mayol Panchayat within two months. The MLA said their target is that by March 2025, works worth Rs 5-7 lakh will be started in each panchayat of Dehra.
During this, the MLA listened to the public problems in Bankhandi and Kallar Panchayat and resolved them on the spot. Pradhan Gram Panchayat Bankhandi Vijay Kumar welcomed the MLA on his arrival at the Panchayat by presenting him with a chunri and a photograph of Baglamukhi Mata. After this, the MLA also paid homage at the Mata Baglamukhi temple.
