Manila: Cyclone Trami has wreaked havoc in the Philippines. According to the latest news, 33 more people have died due to tropical storm ‘Trami’ in a province located south of the capital Manila. With this the total number of deaths has increased to 65. The storm has caused havoc in the Philippines due to flooding and landslides. Most people are said to have died due to landslides caused by the storm. A Philippine provincial police chief gave this information.

Batangas Police Chief Col. Jacinto Malinao Jr. said the total number of people killed in Typhoon ‘Trami’ has risen to 65 due to deaths caused by landslides and floods in Batangas province. Typhoon ‘Trami’ made landfall on Friday in the northwestern Philippines. Malinao Jr. told The Associated Press by telephone from the lakeside town of Talisay that 11 other villagers were missing. At that moment, a villager whose wife and son are missing was next to him. During search operations, rescue teams recovered part of a head and a leg, possibly belonging to the missing woman and child. “He is completely heartbroken,” Malinao said of the villager who lost his wife and son in the torrential rains.
