Following this decision of the government, farmers will now get a price of Rs 401 per quintal of sugarcane this season. Giving information in this regard, the Agriculture Department spokesperson said that thousands of farmers will benefit from this decision of the state government and will get a fair price for their produce. It may be noted that early last year the price of sugarcane in the state was Rs 391, which has now become Rs 401 after the government increased it by Rs 10.
Government issued notification
The government has issued a notification in this regard. According to the notification issued, the state support price for sugarcane varieties C-BPO95, 96, 92, CO.15023, C-O118, C-JO85, C-JO64 and other sugarcane varieties has been revised. notified by the Government of India. It increases to 401 rupees.
The department has said that of the Rs 391 and Rs 401 per quintal, private sugar mills will release Rs 329.50 and Rs 339.50 for last year’s and this year’s sugarcane varieties respectively. The outstanding amount of Rs 61.50 per quintal will be transferred directly to the accounts of sugarcane farmers by the government as subsidy. The government will release this subsidy amount only after the private factories make the payment.

The government tries to improve the standard of living of farmers
