Air conditions in the country’s capital, Delhi, continue to deteriorate. The Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded on Tuesday morning in the ‘very poor’ category. Delhi’s air quality index (AQI) was recorded at 382 at 7:00 am, which is in “very poor” condition as smog blanketed the capital. Meanwhile, trains continued to run despite smoke near New Delhi railway station. At the same time, in Delhi today the maximum temperature may be 26 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature may be 12 degrees Celsius.

What is the weather like in Punjab-Haryana?

At the same time, along with Delhi, it is also cold in the neighboring states of Punjab and Haryana. There is a possibility of fog in both states. A fog alert has been issued for November 27, 28 and 29. There is a fog alert in both the capitals, Chandigarh. However, today the weather will be clear. The maximum temperature in Haryana will be 26 to 27 degrees, while the minimum temperature will be 11 to 12 degrees Celsius. Today the maximum temperature in Punjab will be 25 to 26 degrees and the minimum will be 10 to 11 degrees.

During the last one week, the air quality index (AQI) in Delhi was recorded in the severe category for 4-5 days. According to the AQI, 0-50 is “good”, 51-100 is “satisfactory”, 101-200 is “moderate”, 201-300 is “poor”, 301-400 is “very poor”, and 401-500 is ” poor”. It is considered “serious.” The Directorate of Education of the Delhi Government on Monday issued instructions to all schools to follow the CAQM orders.

Classes until 12 in ‘hybrid’ mode

As per the CAQM order, education up to class 12 will be carried out in ‘hybrid’ mode in Gurugram, Faridabad, Ghaziabad and Gautam Buddha Nagar districts of Delhi-NCR. Pursuant to this order, the Delhi government has directed all public, private and government-aided schools to conduct classes for students in hybrid mode with immediate effect. The decision followed the Supreme Court’s Nov. 25 order asking the CAQM to review the GRAP restrictions. It was also said that education should be given priority.

The Supreme Court in its commentary had said, “Many students are deprived of mid-day meals because schools and anganwadis are closed.” Apart from this, the court also said that many students do not have facilities for online education and many educational institutions do not have facilities for online education. The court said: “Many students do not have air purifiers in their homes, so for them there can be no difference between staying at home and going to school.”
