Engineers were called from Delhi.

However, this did not happen, otherwise a serious accident could have occurred. Engineers were also called in from Delhi to bring the Ganges bridge back into operation. Its repair would cost around 30 million rupees, but not much attention was paid to it.

The then Executive Engineer Mukesh Chandra Sharma of Kanpur Public Works Department submitted a report on this bridge to Kanpur DM Alok Tiwari in the year 2021. The report says that the Ganga Bridge is no longer fit for vehicles to travel on it. . The DM took notice of the report and closed this bridge. Many movies have also been filmed on this bridge.
