CCTV footage of the bomb attack at a nightclub in Chandigarh has emerged. In these images you can see a person wearing a shawl, who throws a bomb in his hand towards the nightclub. A column of smoke is also seen rising after the bomb hits the wall of the club. After the footage emerged, police are now actively searching for the accused.
We tell you that on the morning of November 26 it was learned that a nightclub was attacked with a crude bomb. The attackers are said to have come on bicycles. This attack occurred around 4 a.m. on Tuesday. This attack was of very low intensity, in which there were no injuries.
Was the objective to spread panic?
According to Chandigarh Police sources, an attempt was made to detonate a homemade bomb using potash used in firecrackers outside the nightclubs of Chandigarh. Some jute ropes have also been recovered from the site. The nightclubs were closed when the explosion occurred.
Forensic team is investigating
It is believed that these explosions were carried out solely for the purpose of spreading terror. Sources say that as per initial investigation, there is a possibility that there is an extortion angle behind these blasts by spreading panic among nightclub owners. Chandigarh police are investigating the case with the help of forensic teams.
