The confidence of the giant iPhone manufacturer Apple in India is continuously increasing. In fact, Apple has created a new record in the production of iPhone mobiles in India. Thanks to the Modi government’s production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme, iPhone production in India has reached a figure of 10 billion dollars in the 7 months of 2024-25, of which 7 have been exported billion dollars. In the last financial year 2023-24, Apple produced/assembled iPhones worth $14 billion in India, of which iPhones worth $10 billion were exported.

Union Minister for Electronics and IT Ashwini Vaishnav posted on social media platform X that this smartphone is another milestone for the PLI scheme. The Union Minister said, “Of the $10 billion that Apple produces the iPhone, $7 billion is exported. India’s total smartphone exports crossed $10.6 billion in 7 months.
1,75,000 new direct jobs in four years
Minister Vaishnav further said that the Apple ecosystem has created 175,000 new direct jobs in four years, of which more than 72 per cent are women.
iPhone exports worth Rs 60,000 crore
According to industry data, Cupertino, California-based tech giant Apple has exported iPhones worth Rs 60,000 crore (around $7 billion) from India in the first seven months of the current financial year ( FY25). In the period from April to October, the company exported iPhones worth about Rs 8,450 crore (around $1 billion) every month. Apple posted its highest-ever revenue in India in the July-September period.
