Heeding the joint call of United Kisan Morcha and trade unions, on the occasion of the fourth anniversary of the historic farmers’ movement and Constitution Day, farmers and workers held a warning rally in the city on Tuesday. The protesters reached the Mini Secretariat and submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner on behalf of President Draupadi Murmu. Before this, farmers and workers gathered at Nehru Park and held a public meeting.

The farmers had started a historic march towards Parliament against the three farm laws.

The workers and farmers said that four years ago, on this day, through mobilization, a nationwide strike was held in protest against four anti-labor labor codes and the farmers had started a historic march towards Parliament against the three agricultural laws. The promises made to farmers when the farm laws were withdrawn after a long struggle have not been fulfilled till date. On the other hand, the Central Government is implementing four anti-labor labor codes in the country, which amounts to slavery for workers.

End indiscriminate land acquisition

He demanded that there be a legal purchase guarantee for all crops. The four anti-labor labor codes should be repealed. The policy of outsourcing and outsourcing of labor must be put to an end. A minimum wage of Rs 26,000 per month and social security should be implemented for all organized and unorganized workers, in the scheme and in the agricultural sector. Farmers and workers should be made debt-free.

The privatization of public sector enterprises and social services must be stopped and the installation of smart electricity meters must be stopped. End indiscriminate land acquisition. According to MNREGA, 200 days of work and a salary of Rs 600 should be given. All people who are not included in any scheme should receive a monthly pension of Rs 10,000. Construction workers must be registered with the Social Welfare Board. Communitarian and pro-corporate policies aimed at the corporatization of public money and divisive policies that divide people should be banned.

A central law for unorganized sector workers, including agricultural workers, should be framed and implemented. The supply of DAP and urea fertilizers should be increased so that they can be delivered to farmers as per supply. False cases filed in the name of stubble burning should be quashed. Satish Badoudi, Sanjeev Dhanda, Nafe Singh Igrah, Vikram Singh, Phool Singh Shyokand Ramesh, Azad Palwan etc. addressed on this occasion.
