Students from 22 universities will participate in this competition. The Sports Minister announced that he will donate Rs 51,000 for the programme.
Goma said that for the first time in the history of the state, under the leadership of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, the Himachal Pradesh government has increased the prize money awarded to players who win medals in international competitions.
He said that players who won gold medals in the Olympic Games, Winter Olympics and Paralympic Games will receive an incentive of Rs 5 million, players who win silver medals will receive Rs 3 million and players who won bronze medals They will receive 2 rupees. crores.
He said the Chief Minister has increased the cash amount for players who won medals in the Olympics, Commonwealth Games and Asian Games by 300 to 400 per cent.
He said that the state government also provides 3-tier AC trains and airlines to the players playing outside the state.
He said the allowance money for players in school competitions has been increased from Rs 250 to Rs 400.
He said that as per the instructions of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, three indoor stadiums will be opened in the state, one of which is being constructed in Dehra Assembly.
