Distress affects the functioning of the conscious mind: Dr. Mandarshan

◆ Workshop organized in the Government Polytechnic Seminar Hall

Ayodhya. Dr. Alok Mandarshan says that the human mind has two main parts called conscious and subconscious. Although the dimension of the conscious mind is seven times greater than that of the subconscious mind, it is the subconscious mind that proposes the software of negative and sick thoughts and emotions and forces the conscious mind to deactivate them. This state of mind is called stress or anxiety.
He said stress is an integral part of life, but a mentally healthy person makes proper use of his or her work capacity by controlling everyday stressors. Work stress plays an important role in these everyday stressors. In a changing environment, where on the one hand stress in the workplace increases, on the other hand morale decreases, so stress increases and takes the form of anguish. Distress is a state of frustration or mental fatigue in which the subconscious mind is filled with negativity that negatively affects the functioning of the conscious mind. Therefore, symptoms such as insomnia, irritability, loss of appetite, upset stomach, headache, fatigue, sadness, loss of interest in work, arguments, diabetes, high blood pressure, hypothyroidism occur. If not managed properly, this condition can take the form of mental exhaustion, called burnout syndrome. To avoid this, the conscious mind software must be refreshed with happiness hormones so that negative emotions, neutral feelings and happy mood are restored. Seven to eight hours of sleep and activities that increase the happiness hormones, serotonin, dopamine, endorphin and oxytocin, should be maintained. These things were said by Dr. Alok Mandarshan at the workshop on Mental Health – Constitution related to National Constitution Day organized at the Government Polytechnic Seminar Hall. Headed by Eng. Sanjay Gupta and Combined Engineer. Sanjay Sahu did it.
