Srijan Mobile App Launched to Reduce Maternal Mortality During Childbirth in Punjab

Chandigarh (Aaj Samaj). To provide better care during childbirth and to newborns, Punjab Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Balbir Singh today launched Srijan mobile application, a next-generation digital platform aimed at providing healthcare services to the healthcare providers. providing comprehensive care during pregnancy, childbirth and after birth. Under the Burn Healthy programme, Japaigo has supported the Punjab government in developing the Srijan app.

This Android based application will prove valuable for auxiliary nurse midwives (ANM) and medical officers to provide prenatal, delivery and postnatal care by monitoring high-risk pregnancies. He said it will also strengthen the identification, monitoring and management of high-risk pregnancies, thus ensuring timely and appropriate care.

He further said that this application provides continuous care to the beneficiaries from before birth to the delivery period. He said the mobile app can connect to digital devices via Bluetooth, which transfers the beneficiary’s parameters directly to the app and does not need to be entered. He further said that the app helps in making proper decisions by identifying high-risk pregnancies based on vital elements recorded in the app and helps in preparing action plans, MCP cards and dashboards for ANM Does it.

The Minister said that high risk pregnancies can be tracked on the MO app which will help the patient get immediate medical attention and the treatment done by MO can be uploaded on the app which will be available on the app. go to the corresponding ANM. He said all important things in the delivery room can be recorded on the app, so that any danger or need for referral to a larger facility can be detected. The Health Minister highlighted the serious need to address the high perinatal mortality rate in Punjab and lauded this initiative to ensure standard healthcare for mothers and newborns.
