Pakistan cricket in crisis: Pakistan will host the Champions Trophy 2025 next year. There is a big fight about it. But even before this, the cricket situation in Pakistan seems to be getting worse. The reason for this is the current political protests in Islamabad. Its impact seems to be directly on sports.

Due to this protest, the Sri Lanka A team is now returning to their country. He left the ongoing ODI series against Pakistan Shaheens midway. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said on Tuesday (November 26) that it had spoken to the Sri Lankan board in this regard.

The Pakistani team won the last match.

Only after this did PCB postpone the last two 50 over matches between Pakistan Shaheens and Sri Lanka A. The canceled matches were due to be played in Rawalpindi on Wednesday and Friday. Regarding the protests, PCB president Mohsin Naqvi said that the army has been called in to calm the atmosphere.

The last match between Pakistan Shaheens and Sri Lanka A teams was held on Monday in Islamabad in which Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka A by 108 runs. Now the last two games of the series between the two teams remained to be played. PCB said a new schedule will be prepared for the remaining matches of the series, for which both boards will work together.

Protest against Imran’s release

In fact, PTI workers and their supporters were taking out a protest march to Islamabad demanding the release of Imran Khan. The government tried to stop him on the way, after which Imran’s supporters became enraged.

Therefore, the capital of Pakistan is currently a battlefield. On one side are Imran Khan’s supporters and on the other are General Asim Munir’s forces. The fighting continues in full swing. Imran’s supporters entered Islamabad by removing the walls of containers erected on the roads to stop them. Islamabad has become a cantonment.

The decision on the Champions Trophy will be made on November 29

There is still nothing clear about the schedule and venue of the Champions Trophy 2025 that will be held in Pakistan next year. Meanwhile, Aaj Tak has received important information. The International Cricket Council (ICC) may hold an important meeting regarding this tournament.

This meeting may be held on Friday (November 29). At this meeting important decisions can be made about the match schedule. Then it can be announced. In this meeting it will be decided whether the Champions Trophy will be played under the hybrid model or not. Or they can move it to another country.

PCB is continuously preparing for the Champions Trophy 2025 and the works on the stadiums are almost completed. While the Indian government has refused to send its equipment to Pakistan. In such a situation, the return of the Sri Lankan team can be a big blow for the Pakistani management in terms of the Champions Trophy.
